How to segue your winter wardrobe into spring: Take risks!

Whether it’s wearing a brighter color than you’re used to, or opting for a revealing look in spite of the changing weather, spring is the perfect time to take that risk. Actress Jen Ponton tells Jil Dever, “I'm a big fan of anyone who takes risks — designers who use bold colors, prints, [and] cuts; designers who don't buy into the old ‘fat girls shouldn't’ rules. And I work to expand my own comfort zone — last year was all about crop tops for me!.”

Even if you’re not at your most confident, there’s nothing worse than feeling super overdressed and uncomfortable on a perfect spring day. So take that wardrobe risk, and consider opting for a slightly more revealing look than you’re used to, but wear it with a surprising neck scarf, just in case. Your accessories are your armor, and each one can help to build your confidence. For instance, a piece of statement jewelry can make you feel invincible by sending a message to the world about who you are, while a chic head scarf can transform your bad hair day into a total Grace Kelly moment. Most importantly, wear anything that makes you feel like your best self!
